Westmarch Jugging Team 2012

Postby groo » Mon Mar 12, 2012 6:42 pm

Hello,
Orko… the 18th funniest human being on the planet (he was formally the 17th funniest but I just discovered Jim Jeffries and he shot into the top ten dropping Orko back one) but I digress…
has announced a plan to start a Jugging League. I am very interested in fielding a Crimson Wood Team. We have until the end of March to submit the following:
Team Name: No Mr. Bond, I Expect You to Die
Team Color: Black and White
Team Captain: Groo
Core Players:
1. Groo
2. Orion
3. Xiaho
4. Baenoir
5. Mannanan

Super Core Player:
6. Courtenay (Our Quick)

Alternates:
1. ShadowSword
2. Niveus

What I need: Crimson Wooders that are willing to travel (daytrips only), play hard, be good or at least look good dying, and most of all Have Fun.
What I am going to do: Provide transport when we need to travel at no cost to the team, provide Team Uniforms, and buy Dinner on the way home (Only if we WIN).
We will pick a Team name, color, and decide on Uniforms when we have enough to form a team.
Please let me know soon if you are dedicated and willing to do this.
Thanks,
groo

Obviously I'm not replying to say "Oh! pick me! I want to be the Quick!" But I would like to offer my services as a seamstress to your venture.

Groo, 2 things...
1)Where is Daniel Tosh on your list of funniest men on the planet.
2) I'm interested in competing with you, and I would like to discuss more about it this weekend as Xiaho and I are actually trying to make an appearance this weekend.

hey Groo,
Yeah I'd be up for a CW jugging team. totally cool.
Truth be told I've had some ideas along the same lines.
I'm a decent heavy or quick, and can provide a flail for the chain.
Along the name ideas the best ones I could think of are:
1)The Nexus 6 Project (or just Nexus 6 never pluralized)
2)The Thriller (Yes this might involve some coordinated dancing)
3)No Mr. Bond I expect your to DIE!

I prefer heavy, or whatever they call the guy with the shield.

I like Bears opion #3 for names.

Go Team Crimsonwood!

Thanks to everyone so far....Baer, I'm liking #3. I was going to get us all bowling shirts but tuxedo shirts with all of them numbered 007. I just kind of wet myself....a little. The first post is updated. I will confirm this weekend and send it to Orko.
Also I need what size Tshirt you would wear in a sporting game. Don't make me guess......ShadowSword XXL, Orion Boys size 5, Courtenay something small in a mid-drift....same for Mannanan, I m guessing.

Heavy's the pole user. The shields-man is strangely referred to as Shield.

The five positions are:
Heavy - Pole/Great Weapon
Drive - Short Sword and Shield
Chain - Two Flails (sometimes one flail, one short sword)
Slash - Two Short Swords
Quick - One Dagger; only one who may touch/move the dog skull

Knew there was another name for it. Stupid IM rules (and my memory) let me down.

Courtenay, if you need help making stuff, I'm getting somewhat proficient with my sewing machine. I also like the idea of our jerseys having the numbers 007 and at the top not our names but the names of Bond movie vilains or characters. just a thought. 8) Just so it's clear, I am perfectly willing to abuse my position as Champion to run Jugging at least once a month so we can get more practice in.
